Dog Friendly Restaurants in Carmel

When it comes to dog friendly restaurants to find in Carmel, you are not going to have a hard time. I’m only high-lighting two today, Grasing’s and Anton & Michel . Carmel reminds me a lot of Europe, example you can go anywhere in Zurich and take your dog inside a 5 star restaurant, there is never a problem. Carmel has so many Patio’s with heat lamps that it’s hard to choose which one to go to.

One of my favorites is Grasing’s on the corner of 6th and Mission. Chef Kurt Grasing's menu reflects a stylish simplicity; ultra-fresh ingredients gleaned from California's coast and Central Valley are displayed in a modest fashion that belie an intense combination of textures and flavors."

They have a wonderful outdoor covered patio for you and your Pet. If it’s a bit chilly they have heat lamps that keep you warm. I thought that their food was very good. Our friends flew out to visit us from Connecticut and brought their dog so both of our dogs could be together. We decided to have dinner at Grasing’s. We started with a few Appetizer’s, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Dungeness Crab Cakes and Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, we all loved them. The salads are delicious, I had the warm spinach salad and I highly recommend this salad. For dinner I had Filet Mignon, it was cooked to perfection.

Grasing’s offer an in-flight catering which our friends from New York City used their service flying back to NYC. They said it was delicious and they would recommend others the service from Grasing’s.

Anton & Michel, Located at the Court of the Fountains, Mission Street between Ocean and Seventh, established in 1980. It’s relaxed and beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows, open and airy, featuring rustic hand-set slate walls and stone pillars. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that is surrounded by potted plants and water fountains, it’s absolutely beautiful and the best part is your dog is welcome in the Patio. It’s perfect to kick back and order cocktails on a beautiful day, you will not want to leave.
